The $160 million O-Bahn upgrade will put more pressure on parking art an already overcrowded Paradise Interchange, residents and community leaders say.

They have branded the Government’s decision to extend the O-Bahn from Hackney Rd to Rundle Rd before upgrading the parking at Paradise as irresponsible. Woodmen Ave resident Kym Hillbrook said the interchange carpark was full by 8am most weekdays, causing motorists to illegally park all day in narrow residential streets. He expected the popularity of the O-Bahn, carrying about 31,000 passengers each weekday, to increase once the upgrade was complete.
