The Hon. V.A. TARZIA (Hartley) (15:07): I want to talk about another part of Paradise, which is Gorge Road, Paradise. We know that Gorge Road is a road that traverses many electorates in this place. Recently, what we saw, as reported by The Advertiser, was a severe incident at Gorge Road only last week. We saw that several trees were in fact collected. But before that, only last year in fact, we know that Gorge Road was subject to several serious crashes. In one particular case we saw a car go over to the wrong side of Gorge Road in Paradise and actually collect several houses. I have several residents who continue to live with fear, who continue to live with trauma and are quite traumatised by that incident.

The Hon. V.A. TARZIA (Hartley) (15:07): I rise today to talk about two issues in my electorate in Paradise. The first issue, of course, was from last Saturday, where residents were unfortunately awoken by a very severe burst water main in their street at Hamilton Terrace at Paradise. It was absolutely awful stuff. Unfortunately, they have suffered dearly from this burst. Several residents have actually had to move out of their homes. What is devastating in fact is that this is probably the fourth burst, one resident was telling me, that has occurred in some 15 years. Residents have had to move out. There is water damage right throughout the houses. It is absolutely devastating stuff. People have been literally forced to move out, which is very sad for them.

The Hon. V.A. TARZIA (Hartley) (16:53): I rise today to talk a little bit about the Fogolar
Furlan club in Felixstowe in my electorate. This weekend, the club celebrates 65 magnificent years.
I want to take the opportunity to congratulate all the volunteers and staff who have made the Fogolar
Furlan club the place that it is over this 65-year period. For generations now—literally generations—
Fogolar Furlan has served our local community. To give an example, my parents had their wedding
reception there in the eighties.

The Hon. V.A. TARZIA (Hartley) (16:18): South Australia was dealt a savage infrastructure
funding blow just recently. What we saw was the federal Labor government slash around $400 million
in infrastructure investment here in South Australia. What we saw was that they have robbed country
Peter to pay city Paul. What we saw is that Labor's cuts hurt, they hurt badly and they will hurt for
many, many years to come here in South Australia.

The Hon. V.A. TARZIA (Hartley) (14:26): I, too, rise to pay my respects and pass on my
condolences following the very tragic events of the past two weeks. I rise also to acknowledge the
tremendous work of the whole South Australia Police family that are represented here today. To the
acting commissioner, representatives from PASA—Mark and your team—Police Legacy and other
representative bodies, I sincerely pass on my deepest condolences to Commissioner Stevens' family
and also the family of Brevet Sergeant Jason Doig of Lucindale.

The Hon. V.A. TARZIA (Hartley) (15:23): I might also talk about a giant of soccer, of the football community,
who we have just lost here in the Campbelltown area. Vale to Giuseppe (Joe) Natale. The board life members and members of Campbelltown City Soccer Club, all of us, extend our heartfelt condolences to the Natale family on the passing of Giuseppe (Joe) Natale.

The Hon. V.A. TARZIA (Hartley) (15:21): I will move onto another sport, which
is hockey. Hockey has certainly expressed a desire in the past to be able to utilise grounds if they do
come up down the track. That allows me to segue into hockey and some recent achievements in the
hockey sector.

The Hon. V.A. TARZIA (Hartley) (15:19): I rise today to wish the East Torrens Baseball Club all the very best for their 100-year celebrations. It is an absolutely amazing feat to reach 100 years. It is an absolutely exceptional club. I want to thank all the sponsors, the volunteers, the players past and present, and the friends and family who have supported those players. It is an extraordinary effort in reaching 100 years. The club has achieved amazing success during those 100 years and has even had players represent minor and also major league clubs. It was a
tremendous weekend that we celebrated just recently in November.

The Hon. V.A. TARZIA (Hartley) (15:21): I would also like to take this opportunity to update the house about the 20th anniversary of Co.As.It. Many of you in the house may be aware that the idea for Co.As.It. came from the
Hon. Mario Feleppa, a member of the other place, who has known my own family for many decades
now. He was National President of the Patronato INCA. I know that he made several trips to Melbourne to the Co.As.It. interstate to study that model there, pick out the best parts and implement them here. I think it was a good initiative that was started here in South Australia.
