Good news about changes to developments allowed in Campbelltown
I have good news about the type of developments that will be allowed in the Campbelltown area, from now on. To date this has been one of the most contentious issues in the community and the electorate has been incredibly vocal in seeking a change to the current Development Plan. I made a commitment to the people of Hartley, at the last election, to advocate for improved development guidelines for the area. It was clear that the balance on development under the previous Government was not quite right.
Upgrading Newton Road and Graves Street Intersection
We are one step closer to seeing another commitment I made to the people of Hartley at the last State Election come to fruition. The Department of Planning, Transport and Infrastructure (DPTI) are improving the safety of motorists and pedestrians with the installation of traffic lights at the intersection of Newton Road and Graves Street.
NMHS Space Industry Work-Experience Program
I recently had the pleasure to visit Norwood Morialta High School with the Premier and the Minister for Education to announce the new Space Industry Work-Experience Program. This initiative will give South Australian secondary school students direct access to the state’s burgeoning space sector, with a new pilot work experience program.
Hartley Seniors Forum
On 28 March 2019 we held another community forum on the topic of ‘Remaining active in your senior years’. There was a terrific turnout to hear Associate Professor Gaynor Parfitt, an Associate Professor in Exercise and Sport Psychology from the University of South Australia, speak on the topic of remaining active in our senior years.
1 Year in Government

Home Battery Scheme
Improving South Australia’s environmental footprint and decreasing electricity prices is one of the central focuses of the State Government. The Home Battery Scheme introduced by the State Government has made it possible for South Australian households to access $100 million in subsidies and $100 million in loans to pay for home battery system installations.
