Further developments on the upgrade to the Silkes Road and Gorge Road intersection!
A design consultant has investigated option refinements for the installation of traffic signals at the intersection.
A through lane on Gorge Road is proposed with dedicated right turn lanes from Gorge Road into both Silkes Road and Pattinson Road. The Government has also commenced discussions with SAPN regarding the relocation of stobie poles around the intersection.
Community engagement is expected to commence in November 2020 and construction completion by the end of 2021.
