CAMPBELLTOWN CITY SOCCER CLUB
The Hon. V.A. TARZIA (Hartley) (15:07): Today, I rise to talk about two powerhouse clubs that met at the weekend in the Federation Cup: Metro Stars and my beloved Campbelltown City Soccer Club. I have to say, what an absolutely fantastic game that it was.
STATUTES AMENDMENT (SERIOUS VEHICLE AND VESSEL OFFENCES) BILL - Second Reading
The Hon. V.A. TARZIA (Hartley) (12:54): I also rise to support the bill. My thoughts and prayers do go out to the Naismith family. Can I also say that we will do everything possible to make sure that we can continue to pass laws like these here to make sure that these types of incidents are never able to happen again.
STATE BUDGET
The Hon. V.A. TARZIA (Hartley) (15:20): I rise today to speak on what is the eve of the second budget of the Malinauskas Labor government. What this government needs to remember is a simple concept called OPM, OPM being other people's money. This government were elected on the basis that they would fix the ramping crisis and that they would divert funds away from a community recreation space at the time and put that money into ramping.
GLYNDE RSL SUB-BRANCH
Mr TARZIA (Hartley) (15:20): I recently attended the Glynde RSL Sub-Branch annual dinner. It has always been a spectacular occasion and I do sincerely thank the RSL for all that they do for the local community.
LOT FOURTEEN
Mr TARZIA (Hartley) (12:40): When I think about Lot Fourteen, I also think about Silicon Valley. I might talk a little bit about a visit I once took to the west coast of America, where I was lucky enough to visit companies like Apple and surrounding technology companies
DI FRANCESCO, REV. CANON M.
Mr TARZIA (Hartley) (15:24): Today, I rise to speak about a farewell service I recently attended for Reverend Canon Mara Di Francesco. We recently gathered for what was quite a bittersweet service as we said farewell to Reverend Canon Mara Di Francesco. Mara has been a vital part of our community in Campbelltown for many years and it is certainly difficult to imagine St Martin's Anglican Church Campbelltown without her very significant leadership.
ADELAIDE GIANTS
Mr TARZIA (Hartley) (11:00): I move:
That this house—
(a) congratulates the Adelaide Giants on their outstanding ABL Claxton Shield victory against the Perth
Heat;
St Bernard's Road and South Australian Infrastructure
I would like to take the opportunity to inform the house today about two items. One is obviously a local infrastructure item that we would like to work towards a solution on, then the second one is about infrastructure in this state more broadly.
State of the Economy
Business class trips, social media hits and VIP lists: that seems to be the priority of this government at the moment. I rise today to reflect on the treatment of the South Australian economy under this Labor government.
Ripples Art Centre
Mr Speaker, over the weekend I had the privilege and the pleasure of attending the celebration of a most fantastic milestone for a cultural cornerstone in my local area.
